Article 2

"No Surprise, Abortion Advocates Misread Pro-Life Gov. Sarah Palin's Speech"
by Dave Andrusko

This article spoke of Gov. Palin's recent news of being pregnant. Gov. Pailin at age 44 recently made the decision to keep her baby when finding out of the pregnancy. Being a Catholic woman, she has always spoke of how she was pro-life, well now it came time for her to practice what she preaches. Having four children at home, and being at her current age, it's not necessarily the best time for a new born, thus her current predicament. All in all, Palin got through it and decided to do what she knows is right.

"Our 'Yes' to Life" By Mary E. McClusky, February 20, 2009.
http://www.usccb.org/prolife/publicat/lifeissues/022009.shtml

This article was about the recent octuplet phenomenon. The writer went on to talk about how people who cannot have children turn to ulterior methods that may not be accepted by the Catholic church. She goes on to say how the church only accepts methods that assist fertilization, but does so to build upon what the women already has, and not performing anything experimental that is not given by God. I agree with her points of view and perspective on the issue although i disagree that a doctor can not choose what methods that can and cannot perform.

Assignment 3

I used an image of beef hot dogs for the background to act against the foreground of the healthy chicken.

I adjusted the contrast and saturation to make the image pop more. Also, added in my original image from the last assignment.

I attempted to make the beef look more attractive by adjusting the color/saturation. I made the chicken black and white so that it looked less appealing and further emphasized the appeal of unhealthy foods (beef franks.)

I used a background of coca cola because it is the epitome of an unhealthy beverage.

I adjusted the saturation and added in my original image of milk.

I then decided to brighten the coca cola image and make the milk look very dry by lowering the saturation and brightening it. This, like my last image, emphasizes the appeal of unhealthy foods & beverages.

Living On a Heathy DIet

Milk isn't just a source of protein, it's a lifestyle. Every time you drink milk you boost yourself with calcium and energy. It'll give you enough momentum from one morning to the next.

Grapes are one of the many fruits that are a substantial source of vitamin C. Though it is also high in sugars and carbs, it's best in moderation. But when looking for a boost, grapes are the go-to source.

Lettuce is a nutritious leaf vegetable enriched in vitamin A, vitamin K, and iron. It can be mixed with many different salad dressings, condiments, and other fruits and veggies due to its simple and nutritious taste.

Chicken is a valuable source of protein and vitamins. It can be prepared in many ways (some ways not as healthy as others...) such as marinated, breaded, fried, or baked. With a light marinate or a wheat breading you're guaranteed to feel more strong and healthy.

My Experience at Moore

Although very short, my time at Moore has been quite the roller coaster. From hating my roster, to loving my classes, to hating the homework, to loving my friends...it's been crazy, and difficult, and rewarding, all in one.
I always thought that when I went to college I would know right away if I loved it or if I hated it. When I came to Moore I was shocked the first day when I didn't know how i felt...and the second day...and the next day. It wasn't until the first week was over until I really realized how much I loved it. I loved it, but it's so different from anything I've ever experienced. It's not like every other school, but I am not like every other student.
